The youth training camp is designed to teach 12–18-year-olds how to lift weights correctly and safely. With weight training becoming so popular over the last few years we have seen a huge interest from the younger age groups to start resistance training early; and unfortunately, more often than not with poor technique and programming that results in injury over time. This can be especially damaging to adolescents because of the progress.

 

The youth summer training camp will start on the Tuesday 14th November and run for 6 weeks finishing on the 22nd December. Through this time there will be supervised classes Tuesdays @5pm & Thursdays @5pm, each session will be one hour. Testing at the start and end of the camp to show the improvements that have been made. A video program will also be provided so that one session a week can be done at home with minimal equipment, some nutrition education will also be provided. And at the end of this time, a video program will be provided so that each person attending will be able to continue their weight training correctly going forward. This is a great opportunity to learn how to lift weights correctly from the highly experienced and competent coach giving each attendee the tools they need to progress their training forward.

 

The camp will take place in NGS gym.

 

The cost is €199 for one €360 for two teens or €420 for 3 teens.

 

Each child will get a home training pack with resistance bands and a parachute to keep.
